submitted by Wen L. - |Recommended: NoSoundproof is not good, too many spiders — Ceilings too old.
submitted by Catherine D. - |Recommended: YesGreat for living alone — Once you get moved in, the apartment is very cozy and perfect for living alone. Despite being a little older, the apartment is in great shape and convenient and private. Very pleased so far.
submitted by Rachel S. - |Recommended: YesIts fine but the carpet smells — good location, community area and gym included which is really nice

I can't hear neighbors too well which is great, save for on the balcony, but that makes sense. However, there's a bad fruit fly issue, especially in the warmer months. They come out of the vents in the hall and into spaces, and then end up either in the refrigerator somehow, or around the bathroom, even if you have no trash or rotting food. On average, I'll kill about 40 fruit flies in a day, which is far too many. However, the place is great. The facilities downstairs are great too.

Nice amenities and facilities, quick responses to questions and problems in general . Appliances are not in the best shape shower leaks constantly, as does the fridge and the oven is hopelessly outdated the markings are so worn you cant even see what side is high heat and which side is low . Beautiful building, nice gym, free laundry is a huge plus.

There are many perks to living here and I found my time here quite lovely. Let's start with the amneties Workout room The workout room is almost always empty, which was a PLUS for me since I like working out alone. The addition of the dumbbells earlier this year was great. I always wanted some weights to use while doing squats so that was great. Computer room Printing before class what AMAZING and access to a desktop was always an advantage. Study Area The study area, when I did choose to study there, was quiet and everyone was quite respectful of the area. Sometimes other residents do use the area to watch TV, but it wasn't ever a problem with me. There are also vending machines so when I got hungry or thirsty I could always use them. My one issue with this area was the women's bathroom idk about the men's always smelled like tobacco smoke, and the water fountain near it spouted out some yellowish water for a while there. The plus side on that was that the bathroom was ALWAYS well kept with soap, toilet paper, and hand towel papers always in stock. The Apartment Itself When I first got into my apartment there were minor things, like rusting of the shower head, bathtub drain, and sink drain but after a little cleaning everything was good. Sometimes it may take a little bit of your work to make things nice, and that's okay. The apartment style was quite modern since I did get that kind of apartment, 2nd floor and found it VERY home like. If you make the place yours, it'll feel comfy. My one problem with the apartments are how thin the walls could be sometimes and the noise from outside. Since I'm not too picky about noise, I did find it a problem that I would sometimes get distracted by it. I LOVED THE NATURAL LIGHT of the apartment. With a patio door, lighting was amazing. If you like that natural light whether it's for the aesthetics, for the selfies, for the view... these apartments are amazing for it. Parking Parking is limited and I did find it frustrating when family visited and we had to park either far, or for a short period of time and then having to move the car but it was bearable. Location I feel like this is a good location for a person who doesn't mind a little bit of a walk to classes for students . I found myself definitely working up a sweat when getting to class usually up bascom but it wasn't terrible. BEWARE for all you bus riders who rely on the bus and only the bus the bus stops here aren't too friendly. The closest bus stops have very limited times and you may find yourself waiting for the next bus that will take you to class because of how full the bus can get. If you are trying to go up bascom with the use of the bus, the closest usually available stop will be by the Kollege Klub which you'll have to walk there, but the risk of the bus being full is high as well. Perhaps planning ahead everyday will help, but if you're like me who just does it when the time's up then this will definitely be a problem. Also, there are limited buses that will take you home from classes that are close to this apartment. The best one from near college library and memorial union is the 81 which will take you almost perfectly to this apartment. BUT, if you are coming from somewhere else such as near Union south the buses that will take you close to home is limited. The only routes I was about to really take were the 6 and 4 which will take you onto State and drop you off Kung fu Tea and then you'll have to walk a block home . ON THE PLUS SIDE again though, this location is SUPER close to State Street Overall, I can say this apartment became my definition of home for me this year, but like many other things, there are some cons to living here. It's all up to the person and what they value. Personally, I found this apartment to be within mostly what I was looking for. Thanks for reading my review, hopefully it gave some insight

Also location is near State Street like a block away so close to restaurants. Property offers a mini gym and great community area to do homework.

submitted by Alexander P. - |Recommended: YesGreat experience so far. No issues. — Building is well maintained and managed. My son is living in the apartment for one year now and he has only positive things to say. He was very happy to resign the lease for another year. We can highly recommend the property.

submitted by Emily H. - |Recommended: NoOutdated, Constant Maintenance with a fantastic view and natural light — The place was decent for me while I was working on the square and taking all my classes in Science Hall quick walk . It was conveniently located, overpriced, needed maintenance at least monthly though they were quick about answering to requests , and the construction for elevator renovation was deafening and annoying. My neighbor passive aggressively complained that she could hear me talk when I was outside on my balcony ... . Appearance was bad. I called it the communist building, because just look at it. Thats ok. It was my cute little communist building. Don't be fooled by the appearance of the first floor. Staff seemed to try to help, but honest I don't think they ever answered a question or helped me with any service that I couldn't find or do myself they seemed a bit aloof and all smiles but doing little work at times and I was ultimately disappointed in the fake-help vibes they were radiating. I haven't lived in another apartment building, can't say I'd be open to it after this one.
